Sister Barbara Rudum, IBVM

I did not know Loreto when I joined St. Teresa’s School, Darjeeling in Class VII. There I met Sister Francis Teresa D’Costa. Her Catechism class was so alive that I looked forward to it and never missed a single class!
Our Principal, Sister Rosario O’ Donell, introduced me to hockey. With hockey-stick in hand she generated such enthusiasm, that our team went eagerly to North Point grounds for practice every morning at 6 a.m. This resulted in St. Teresa’s being the hockey champions of the hills.
The seed of my vocation was sown by their example. I was inspired by both the Sisters and expressed my wish to join Loreto.
Sister Christine Gurung accompanied me in my discernment and my dream became a reality.
